The seminar was hosted by Chamber of Commerce President Ge Fumei, and Vice Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce Chen Quanping, along with some chamber members, attended the seminar.

President Ge Fumei delivered the opening speech. She said that since the establishment of the Municipal Environmental Protection and Energy-saving Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce, they have always wanted to focus on the deployment of the 'Belt and Road Initiative' proposed by General Secretary Xi and participate in related work. However, everyone is not very familiar or clear about the policies and regulations of the 'Belt and Road Initiative,' as well as the investment directions and hotspots in countries along the 'Belt and Road.' In order to help everyone quickly understand relevant knowledge about the 'Belt and Road Initiative,' today we are honored to invite Professor Tian Ze, Director of the 'Belt and Road Africa Research Center' at Hohai University, General Manager Yan Bingrong of Changzhou Tebairun Business Information Consulting Co., Ltd., and Dr. Serra, Director of the International Projects and Investment Department of Changzhou Tebairun Business Information Consulting Co., Ltd., to provide policy guidance on the 'Belt and Road Initiative' for our chamber members. This is very meaningful, and on behalf of the chamber, she warmly welcomes Professor Tian and the others.

Afterwards, Deputy Manager Chen Jiang of Sinoma-Liyang Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. used a PPT to introduce and discuss the company's main products, technical standards, and investment directions. Other participating chamber of commerce members also introduced their own companies' production, operation, and sales situations. At the same time, they seriously consulted on related issues, including how to maintain contact with the local government, whether there are problems in communication between each other, and how to resolve issues encountered in trade and customs clearance.

Professor Tian Ze, in his speech, first expressed his gratitude to President Ge for the kind invitation. He said, 'The Belt and Road Initiative is a major opportunity for Chinese enterprises to expand overseas. As the director of the Belt and Road Africa Research Center, I am very willing to introduce domestic enterprises abroad and participate in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.' He expressed that he felt very honored to come and communicate with the Liyang Environmental Protection and Energy-saving Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce. On one hand, he can explain to everyone the relevant policies and regulations of the Belt and Road Initiative; on the other hand, he can listen to what everyone thinks, needs, and requests, which he finds very good and very necessary. He suggested establishing information contact with each other to facilitate future exchanges and cooperation.

Yan Bingrong, General Manager of Changzhou Tebairun Business Information Consulting Co., Ltd., introduced the company's main functions and business scope as an intermediary company, as well as some successful experiences in connecting the government and related enterprises nationwide, especially in the Changzhou area. Dr. Saila, Director of the International Projects and Investment Department of Changzhou Tebairun Business Information Consulting Co., Ltd., also shared his experience as an overseas representative in four West African countries, including Guinea, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire, and expressed his wholehearted willingness to help promote cooperation between enterprises and governments.

Vice Chairman Chen Quanping of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce fully affirmed in his speech that the Municipal Environmental Protection and Energy-Saving Machinery Industry Chamber of Commerce's hosting of this "Belt and Road" seminar was very forward-looking and highly instructive. He said, "The 'Belt and Road' initiative is a major strategic concept proposed by General Secretary Xi, looking at the world, grasping global opportunities, and seizing development prospects. It is a significant strategic move to promote regional cooperation, expand development space, and seek greater growth. This is a major strategic layout for our country now and in the coming period, as well as a significant opportunity for our enterprises to go global. Therefore, all levels of our departments and especially entrepreneurs should follow this trend of the times, actively seize opportunities to participate in the 'Belt and Road' initiative, strive to find business opportunities for development, and continuously grow and strengthen themselves." He mentioned that at the seminar, Professor Tian and his colleagues carefully interpreted the policies related to the "Belt and Road," particularly regarding the political and ecological environment and directions for investment cooperation in countries like Guinea and other West African nations, providing guidance for entrepreneurs and offering valuable lessons to learn from. He hoped the chamber and its members would take this as an opportunity, on the one hand, to focus on the actual conditions of their own enterprises, and on the other hand, to learn and understand relevant policies, regulations, and the situations in countries along the "Belt and Road" early, laying a solid foundation and creating favorable conditions for future cooperation and development.
